• دختر جواني كه اخيراً تبديل به ستاره اينستاگرام شده و طرفداران بي شماري پيدا كرده يك دختر كرد ايراني است كه در استراليا متولد شده و توجه شكارچيان معروف دنياي مد و زيبايي را به خود جلب كرده است.
با آنكه پيدا كردن او براي انجام مصاحبه به دليل مشغله فراوان و سفرهاي متعددي كه به كشورهاي مختلف دارد كار دشواري است اما بالاخره او را در حال سفر و چند ساعت قبل ازپرواز براي انجام يك گفت و گوي كوتاه تلفني پيدا كردم تا دليل شهرت و محبوبيت خود را براي خوانندگان مجله تهران شرح دهد.
* اولين سئوال اين است كه محل اقامت اصلي تو كجاست؟ ‌ ‌
– من همه جا هستم و خودم هم بعضي وقت ها خودم را گم مي كنم كه كجا هستم!
* اين مسئله تو را اذيت نمي كند؟
– من براي رسيدن به اين نقطه كه مشغول باشم و در هر گوشه اي از دنيا فعاليت كنم و فعاليتم براي ديگران نتيجه بخش باشد خيلي زحمت كشيدم و اكنون با خوشحالي مي گويم كه به روِياهايم رسيده ام. ‌ ‌
* اميدوارم منظورت اين نباشد كه به نقطه توقف رسيده اي چون هنوز خيلي جوان هستي! ‌ ‌
– نه منظورم اين نيست كه به نقطه توقف رسيده ام تازه به نقطه اي رسيده ام كه بايد باز هم تلاش كنم. چون دنيا رو به پيشرفت است و من هم بايد با زمان جلو بروم و جوابگوي درخواست طرفدارانم باشم. ‌ ‌
* تنها در اينستاگرام 240 هزار نفر طرفدار داري اين همه طرفدار را چگونه پيدا كردي؟
– من هيچ كاري نكردم فقط تصاويرم را پست مي كردم و مردم هم روي صفحه اينستاگرام آن ها را مي ديدند.
* فكر مي كني در تصاوير چه چيزهاي جلب كننده بود؟
– من زياد سفر مي كنم و در هر سفر در جاهاي زيبا و در طبيعت دوستي داشتني كشورها عكس مي گيرم. فكر مي كنم هماهنگي آرايش و لباس با طبيعت زيبا عكس ها را براي بينندگان جذاب مي كند. زيرا معتقدم كه مردم به دنبال ايده ها و چيزهاي تازه و زيبا هستند و كار من هم زيبايي و مد است.
* حالا كه صحبت از زيبايي شد ممكن است توضيح بدهي دليل چهره زيبا و اندام متناسب تو چيست؟
– ورزش و انجام تمرين هاي روزانه. من هر روز به شش تا هفت ورزشگاه مي روم. چون هدفم نگاه داشتن تناسب اندام است. دوچرخه سواري هم مي كنم و به پياده روي هم مي روم. البته دوچرخه سواري و پياده روي برايم خيلي لذت بخش است. بخصوص وقتي اسپا مي روم در آنجا احساس شادي و سبك شدن زيادي مي كنم. ‌ ‌
* اين همه ورزش با برنامه سفرهايي كه داري تعارضي پيدا نمي كند؟ ‌ ‌
– برنامه ها را طوري تنظيم مي كنم كه به ورزش و كارم لطمه نخورد. ‌
‌* تو كه مرتب در حال سفري در طول سال بيشتر كجا هستي؟ ‌ ‌
– من شش ماه را در دبي و ابوظبي مي گذرانم. شش ماه ديگر را به مسافرت مي روم. از اين شش ماه سه ماه را اختصاص به سفر بين لس آنجلس و اروپا مي دهم و سه ماه ديگر به خانه ام سيدني مي روم.
– پس خانه اصلي تو سيدني است؟!
– بله چون من در سيدني استراليا متولد شده ام.
– و اسمت ايراني است.
– چون هنوز خودم را يك كرد ايراني مي دانم. ‌ ‌
* خب در مدت شش ماهي كه در ابوظبي و دبي هستي چه مي كني؟ ‌ ‌
– به كارهاي فشن و مد و زيبايي مشغول هستم و شب ها هم به رستوران هاي قشنگ آنجا مي روم به خصوص رستوران ‌ Catch ‌كه اخيراً ساخته شده. ‌ ‌
* چه نوع غذايي سفارش مي دهي؟ ‌ ‌
– من فضاي آنجا را دوست دارم و نوشيدني و غذاي گياهي مطلوب خودم را سفارش مي دهم. ‌ ‌
* پس گياه خواري و با خوردن گوشت مخالفي.
– چه جورم.
– چه شد كه <وگان> شدي؟ يعني از غذاهاي درست شده از گوشت استفاده نمي كني؟
– وگان شدن من با ديدن يك فيلم مستند به نام ‌ Unity ‌شروع شد كه ديدن آن برايم رنج آور بود كه چطور حيوانات را مي كشند تا ما از گوشت آن ها استفاده كنيم. ازآنجا بود كه براي سالم ماندن تصميم گرفتم از موادي استفاده كنم كه براي زنده ماندن در طبيعت فراوان است. وقتي اين كار را كردم ديدم پوستم قرمز و روشن شد. ‌ ‌
* در حال حاضر از تو به عنوان يك دختر زيباي خاورميانه اي نام مي برند كه دردنياي مد و زيبايي به شهرت رسيده اي، ممكن است توضيح بدهي قبل ازشهرت چه مي كردي؟
– من يك شركت به نام ‌Myraid investments‌براي خودم به راه انداخته بودم كه توليدش لباس بود با نام ‌Ambition king‌اما بعد وارد دنياي مد و زيبايي شدم و كارم توسعه پيدا كرد. ‌ ‌
* از چه محصولاتي براي زيبايي خود استفاده مي كني؟ ‌ ‌
– من هميشه سعي مي كنم هر روز محصولات جديدي را كشف كنم و كرم ها را آزمايش مي كنم. اما در حال حاضر از كرم هاي خودم استفاده مي كنم كه Caudalie‌ نام دارد. از اسپري تونر خودم هم روز و شب استفاده مي كنم. ‌ ‌
* بنابراين سفرهاي تو هم فال است و هم تماشا. هم ازطبيعت استفاده مي كني هم در فروش محصولات و شركت در فشن شوها بهره مي بري. ‌ ‌
– بالاخره بايد زندگي كرد و زيبا و سالم ماند و هيچ چيزي براي انسان بهتر از ورزش و فعاليت نيست. ‌ ‌
* درباره شايعات عشقي و ازدواج چه مي گويي؟ مثل ازدواج با يك جوان عرب به نام منصور پسر جبار. ‌ ‌
– شما بهتر مي دانيد كه هميشه در مورد چهره هاي جديد شايعاتي بر سر زبان هاست و دوست ندارم در اين باره صحبت كنم.
* مي دانم كه در راه سفر هستي به همين خاطر خداحافظي مي كنم تا انجام يك مصاحبه حضوري در سفرت به لس آنجلس.

Lauded the most beautiful woman in the Middle East, Mariam Rod has had her fair share of press attention lately and we can see why. From MBC to AlMadenah News, the press is going a-frenzy for her strikingly aesthetic face, long thick dark hair, and perfect physique. Throw in a private jet, flashy cars, and a plethora of famous friends, and one might also join the .25 million followers that she has racked up on Instagram.

 

 

However, many of her followers are probably blissfully unaware that the lifestyle they are subscribing to is a result of plain old hard work and effort. With a number of successful businesses under her belt, Mariam is more than just a pretty face, and she astutely holds back any mention of her work life on the social platform. We have long been tuned into the benefits of interacting and learning by sharing on social media, but with that comes a great awareness of just how negative the dark side of social media can be. For us, Mariam represents a prototype of successful, beautiful women that are proud of their achievements, and share on their platforms for a number of reasons. Frankly, we can learn from these women, be inspired by them, and aim to reach their heights, after all, is that not what social media is for? Your beauty has attracted media attention in the Gulf, and you are indeed stunning! By default we must ask for three of your top beauty tips.

As cliche and boring as it sounds its definitely got to be 1. Drink plenty of water (aim for 3 Ltrs a day)  2. Get your beauty sleep (8hrs a day). 3. Eat as clean as you can by avoiding processed foods, sugar and dairy.

 

Every woman loves to be complimented on her beauty, but after a certain point, focusing only on the aesthetic can be limiting to ones essence. How do you deal with the people who simply interact with you for your physical beauty and not you as a person?

 I think you only make something a problem by giving power to it. I chose to stay true to myself and not let myself be defined by how others view me, whether good or bad. But I think if people truly take the time to know someone their personality will outshine their physical features always.

‘God is beautiful and loves beauty’. Taking care of ones appearance is in the Islamic and Arab tradition. Take us through your daily get-ready routine. 

My daily routine is actually quite simple. I start my day by washing my face, then toning and moisturizing. Before I apply any make up, I always use an spf to keep my skin protected and to prevent early ageing. If I don’t have an event or special occasion I apply a BB cream to my face, correct imperfections with concealer, apply mascara, blush and my favorite lipstick (Laura Mercier in audrey) and I’m out the door.

 

The Emirates is famed for its citizens taking great pride in their immaculate appearance, what do you notice first about a person? 

Always the eyes. They are the windows to the soul.

 

Smelling good in the Gulf is also a must. What is your signature scent?

The Emirates is known for being an incredibly welcoming country, yet Emirati high-society remains closed to foreigners, do you feel that there are certain barriers for non-Emiratis in the top circles?

I don’t believe the Emirati society is closed to foreigners at all. The Emirati culture welcomes people from all over the world. The UAE has become a melting pot where different people from different demographics live together harmoniously. The UAE has set up a platform for individuals from all over the world to succeed in anything they set their minds to, regardless of nationality.

 

You attend many high-social events with other notable Instagram personalities and socialites, tell us about a memorable event that you attended recently?

I recently attended the The Huda beauty masterclass which was amazing. It was really nice to have so many beautiful strong, confident, like minded women under one roof. It’s always amazing to be surrounded by women who can share ideas and empower each other.

In the modern age, reality TV has become somewhat of an addiction. Shows such as ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’, ‘The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills/Orange Country’ are more popular than ever with millions of viewers all around the world. As someone who has a privileged lifestyle, would you ever consider reality TV? Or is that a no-no?

Never say Never….I always keep my options open as you never know what the universe has planned for you.

 

We spotted Jesse Metcalfe, Chris Tucker, NeYo, Drogba and 50 Cent, and many more on your Instagram account! Which celebrity encounter was the most memorable, and which made you the most star-struck?

I usually don’t get star struck. If I really like a actor, singer etc its because I appreciate their craft and talent. In saying that I met Leonardo Di Caprio in Sydney about a year and a half ago and I turned into a little giggle girl. He’s so charismatic and charming.

 

What do you enjoy most about sharing on Instagram?

I would say being able to connect with people from all over the world. Its so strange to say this but I almost feel like a have a Instagram family who I genuinely love. When I’m having a bad day I go online and to see the love, sweet comments and positivity that some people radiate from their comments or posts can completely change my day.

 

How do you deal with unwarranted negativity?

I block it out and laugh it off. The people writing me negative comments are people that don’t know me and are judging me for photos that I chose to show them so I don’t take it personally.

 

Many young girls and women look at you and the lifestyle you live as something to aspire to. How do you feel about being a role-model to so many?

Its a blessing and a huge privilege. I hope that I can help women understand their own value, build their confidence and learn to take pride in their uniqueness and individuality. 

 

You have been titled ‘The most beautiful woman in Dubai’ by MBC and other media outlets. Do you now feel any added pressure to maintain your look?

I think that in this day and age most women have a certain amount of pressure to meet societies expectations of beauty. For me I’ve learnt to be comfortable in my own skin. Rather than seeking perfection I’ve learned to love my flaws and because of that I’ve gained confidence and theres nothing more beautiful than confidence.

 

 

What advice would you give to the young girls out there who are constantly comparing themselves to others and not happy with the way they look?

The most important thing girls need to know is that we are all unique and beautiful in our own way. Young girls need to understand that what they see in magazines and social media is often the result of good lightning, makeup, and good angles. All girls need to take the time to learn about their skin type, face shape, angeles and body shape to know how to enhance their own features in the best way possible.

I absolutely will. I had to put it own hold for a while because i wanted to be able to give it my full attention. It should hopefully by back up in a few months.
