Tehran Weekly Magazine is one of the longest-running Persian-language news and community publications in the United States.

The publication traces its roots to 1989, when publisher and editor Shahbod Noori launched the Original Bazaar Weekly, one of the first free Persian-language classified and community newspapers serving Southern California’s growing Iranian-American population.

Building on that success, Tehran International Weekly Magazine was established in 1996 to provide comprehensive coverage of news, public affairs, culture, community events, business, health, education, arts, sports, and issues affecting Iranian-Americans and other Persian-speaking communities.

For nearly three decades, Tehran Magazine has served as an independent voice for the Iranian-American community by providing original reporting, community news, public-interest journalism, and information that helps readers engage with civic life in California and throughout the United States.

In 2000, Tehran Magazine became one of the first Persian-language publications in North America to publish a complete digital edition online, making its content freely available to readers worldwide through www.tehranmagazine.com.

Today, Tehran Magazine continues to publish weekly in both print and digital formats. The publication serves readers throughout California and across the United States while also reaching Persian-speaking audiences internationally.

The magazine covers a broad range of topics including:

• Local and state news
• Community affairs
• Public policy and civic engagement
• Immigration and legal issues
• Health and wellness
• Business and entrepreneurship
• Arts and culture
• Education
• Sports
• Community achievements and events

Today, Tehran Weekly Magazine serves readers through print, mail subscription, and digital platforms. The publication reaches thousands of readers each week and maintains an active online presence, attracting more than 10,000 monthly website visitors while continuing its mission of serving Persian-speaking communities throughout California, the United States, and beyond.

With more than 30 years of continuous service to the community, Tehran  Weekly Magazine remains committed to accurate, independent, and community-focused journalism that informs, educates, and connects Persian-speaking audiences.
